Q&A

Q: Can the snorkeling activity be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, if the weather doesn't cooperate, you can typically reschedule. Sea Paradise is pretty good about keeping guests informed, and they’ll help you find a new date that works. Just make sure to call or email them as soon as you know you need to change plans!

Q: What's the age limit for kids on this? Thinking of bringing my 8-year-old.

A: Great question! There’s no strict age limit, but they recommend kids be at least 5 years old and comfortable in the water. The crew is super helpful with kids, so I think your 8-year-old would have an awesome time. Just make sure they’re good swimmers!

Q: What should I wear for the snorkeling part? Is it warm enough?

A: Definitely wear your swimsuit and maybe a rash guard if you burn easily — the sun can be pretty intense! Water temp is usually warm, but you might want a light cover-up for after snorkeling. Don’t forget a hat and sunglasses for when you’re on the boat!

Just booked the Afternoon Sail & Snorkel to Captain Cook Monument!

I'm so excited! I just got tickets for the Afternoon Sail & Snorkel with Sea Paradise at Kealakekua Bay. I heard the views along the Kona Coast are insane, and I can't wait to see the Captain Cook Monument up close. Plus, I've heard the snorkeling is top-notch! Any advice on what snacks to bring since they provide light snacks? I want to make sure I don’t end up hungry out there!

Thinking about gifting this snorkel trip!

I’m looking to get my brother a cool experience for his birthday, and this snorkel trip to the Captain Cook Monument sounds perfect! He loves the ocean and snorkeling. Do you guys think it’s worth it? Also, is there a way to get a discount for groups?
