Q&A
A: There isn't a strict weight limit, but the boat can comfortably accommodate around 30 people. It's best to call Sail Maui directly if you're concerned about specific individuals or larger groups. They’re super friendly and can answer any safety questions you might have!
A: Definitely wear layers! It can get a bit chilly out there, especially if the wind picks up. I'd recommend a light jacket or sweatshirt. Also, don’t forget your sunscreen since you’ll be exposed to the sun. Comfortable shoes are a must since the boat can be a bit slippery!
A: Yes, kids are welcome on the sail! There’s no strict age limit, but I'd say it’s great for ages 5 and up. It's a fun learning experience for them, especially seeing the whales up close. Just keep an eye on them, as the boat can sway a bit!

Thinking of gifting the Afternoon Sail with Whales—any tips?
I'm looking to buy the Afternoon Sail with the Whales experience from Lahaina for my parents. They’ve never been to Maui and I think it’d be an unforgettable day. Has anyone done this before? Any must-know tips or things I should prep them for? I really want them to enjoy this!
Just went on the whale sail—amazing experience!
I just got back from the Afternoon Sail with the Whales, and wow, what an experience! The crew from Sail Maui was super friendly, and we saw so many whales breaching! The light appetizers were tasty too. Just a heads up, it can get a bit windy, so dress accordingly. Definitely worth every penny! Can't wait to go back.
