Q&A
A: Yes, you can reschedule your trip on the Alaska Railroad, but it's best to do it at least 24 hours in advance. Just contact their customer service, and they'll help you find a new date. Keep in mind that popular times fill up quickly, so try to be flexible with your plans!
A: Dress in layers! The weather can change quickly in Alaska, even if you're on the train. A good combo is a light t-shirt, a warm sweater, and a waterproof jacket. Don’t forget comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking around the train and maybe taking some photos outside!
A: There are no strict age limits for the ride, but keep in mind that younger kids might get restless on a long trip. It's a great option for families! Just make sure to bring snacks and activities to keep them entertained. I saw families with kids of all ages when I went.

Thinking about gifting the Alaska Railroad trip to Denali!
I’m considering this train experience from Anchorage to Denali as a gift for my parents. They love nature and haven’t been to Alaska yet! I’ve heard the views from the train are stunning, especially of Denali. Does anyone have tips for booking or any must-dos while they're there?
Just did the Alaska Railroad trip to Denali – wow!
I just got back from the train ride from Anchorage to Denali and it was epic! The views are incredible, especially with the clear skies we had. The narration by our guide was super informative, too. Definitely recommend doing the dining option! The food was better than I expected.
