Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to go on this whale watching cruise in Juneau?

A: The best time for whale watching in Juneau is typically from May to September. During this period, you're more likely to see humpback whales as they migrate to the area. If you're aiming for the best chance to see whales, I’d recommend going in June or July when they are most active. Keep in mind that weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared for that!

Q: Are there any age restrictions for kids on the cruise?

A: There are no specific age restrictions for this cruise; it’s family-friendly! Kids usually have a great time, and there’s plenty of space for them to roam around. Just keep an eye on them as the boat can get a bit rocky at times. Also, make sure they have jackets, just in case it gets windy!

Q: Can I reschedule if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if weather conditions are bad. They usually let you know well in advance if they need to cancel due to safety reasons. It’s best to keep your travel dates flexible just in case. They have a good customer service team that will work with you to find a new date!

Considering the Alaska Whale Watching Cruise - any tips?

Hey everyone! I’m thinking of booking the Alaska Whale Watching Cruise for my parents' anniversary. They love nature and are super excited about the idea of seeing whales and Mendenhall Glacier. Has anyone done this before? What was your experience like? Any tips on what to wear or what to expect?

Just got back from the whale watching cruise!

OMG, I just went on the whale watching cruise from Juneau, and it was spectacular! We saw a bunch of humpbacks, and the views of the Mendenhall Glacier were breathtaking from the water. The snacks were great too! I’d totally recommend it to anyone thinking about it. Worth every penny!
