Q&A
A: Layering is key! You might feel warm on the ground, but once you're up in the air, it can get chilly, especially as the sun sets. A light jacket and closed-toe shoes are a good choice. Also, don’t forget your camera – the views are incredible!
A: Yes, kids need to be at least 5 years old to ride, and they should be able to stand comfortably in the basket. Just check with Rainbow Ryders when you book to make sure there are no other special requirements.
A: If weather conditions are unsafe, Rainbow Ryders will contact you to reschedule. They usually try to give you as much notice as possible, and you can pick a new date that works for you. Just keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your flight!

Thinking about gifting a sunset hot air balloon ride in Albuquerque!
I’m really excited about the idea of gifting the hot air balloon ride to my partner for our anniversary. I’ve heard the views of the Sandia Mountains at sunset are breathtaking. Has anyone done this lately? What was your experience like? I just want to make sure it’s as amazing as it sounds!
Just did the Albuquerque sunset balloon ride – wow!
I went on the hot air balloon ride last weekend and it was one of the coolest things I've ever done! The sunset over the Rio Grande was magical, and our pilot shared some really fun facts about the area. Plus, that champagne toast at the end was the perfect finish. Can’t recommend it enough!
