A: The Alcantara Vineyard experience is designed for adults 21 and over due to the wine tasting aspect. Kids can join, but they won’t be part of the tasting. It’s a great outing for families, just keep in mind that there won’t be any non-alcoholic options included in the tasting flights. You could plan some fun snacks for the kids to enjoy while you sip!

Q: How difficult is the tour? Is it mostly walking around?

A: The tour is very gentle! It’s mostly a stroll through the vineyard with opportunities to sit and enjoy the tastings. You’ll walk a bit through the winery as well, but it’s not strenuous at all. Perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Just wear comfortable shoes!

Q: What happens if the weather turns bad? Do they cancel the tasting?

A: They have a flexible cancellation policy for weather! If rain is in the forecast, they’ll typically move the tastings inside the winery. I’ve been there when it sprinkled, and they handled it beautifully. Just keep an eye on the weather and communicate with them if it looks dicey.
