Q&A
A: Yes, you can reschedule the Alcatraz night tour as long as you reach out to them ahead of time, usually 24 hours in advance. Just keep in mind that the night tours aren’t available on Sundays and Mondays, so you'll need to pick a different day. It’s best to check availability online when you reschedule.
A: There’s no strict age limit for the Alcatraz tours! Kids 4 years and younger can go for free without a ticket. However, keep in mind that some parts of the night tour might be a little spooky for younger kids, so it could depend on their comfort level.
A: Definitely layer up! It can get pretty chilly on the ferry at night, especially with the wind. A light jacket or hoodie is a good idea. Also, wear comfortable shoes since there’s a bit of walking involved on Alcatraz. Just check the weather before you go!

Thinking of gifting the Alcatraz night tour and Bay Cruise! Anyone done it?
I’m looking to surprise my partner with an Alcatraz night tour and the Bay Cruise combo. We both love history, and I heard the sunset views from the cruise are stunning. Is it worth doing both on the same day? How’s the experience overall? Any tips?
Just did the Alcatraz night tour + Bay Cruise yesterday! Wow!
I can’t recommend the night tour enough! It was super immersive with those cell door demonstrations and the historical talks were really interesting. The Bay Cruise afterward was the perfect way to end the night. Watching the city lights from the water was unreal! Bring a jacket though, it gets cold out there!
