Q&A
A: There isn't a strict age limit for the 1880 Train experience. It's great for all ages! They even provide snacks and bottled water, making it kid-friendly. Just keep in mind that if you're bringing younger kids, they might need some supervision while exploring Keystone.
A: If the weather isn't cooperating, the tour can be rescheduled. They provide umbrellas and blankets in the van, but if it's pouring, they want to make sure you have the best experience possible. You can reach out to them a day before to check on the weather and options.
A: Parking is pretty straightforward! If you're being picked up at your Rapid City hotel, they handle all the logistics, so you don't have to worry about parking at all. Just make sure to be ready for pickup between 8:00-8:30 AM. It's super convenient!

Thinking about gifting the 1880 Train experience!
So, I’m considering this for my parents’ anniversary. They love history and scenic views. I know the tour takes you to Keystone and you get to explore for 1.5 hours. Has anyone done this? What's your take? Is it worth it? Any tips?
Just did the 1880 Train tour, thoughts!
I took the 1880 Train experience last week, and it was awesome! The scenic views of the Black Hills were breathtaking. We spent time at the Big Thunder Gold Mine, which was super interesting. Pick-up from Rapid City was seamless. Highly recommend it for a fun day out!
