Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age for kids to join the Galveston tour?

A: There's no strict minimum age, but I’d recommend this for kids 6 and up. The tour involves some walking and the harbor-dolphin tour can be a bit loud. Just keep an eye on younger ones near the water. Our 8-year-old loved it!

Q: What should we wear for the Tall Ship Elissa tour? Is it all outdoor?

A: Dress comfortably! The ship part is mostly outdoors, so layers are key. A light jacket for the evening and closed-toe shoes are best for walking around. Don’t forget sunscreen!

Q: What if it rains? Can we reschedule the tour?

A: If weather conditions are bad, you can definitely reschedule. Just call Fun Texas Tours and they'll help you find a new date. I had to do this once, and they were super accommodating!

Thinking about gifting the all-day Galveston tour from Houston!

I’m considering this tour for my parents. The Tall Ship Elissa part sounds cool, plus the dolphin watching! They love history, so I think the Bryan museum and Moody Mansion stops would be a hit. Just not sure if it’ll be too much walking for them. Has anyone done this recently? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Just booked the Galveston tour—any tips?

I finally booked the all-day Galveston tour! Super excited for the dolphin watching and the history. Just wondering if anyone has tips on where to eat for lunch? And how’s the parking situation in Houston for the start of the tour? Thanks!
