As you embark on your journey, your Captain and In-Water Guide will teach you everything you need to know about interacting with these gentle creatures. In addition to learning manatee facts and their behavioral patterns, our captains are extremely knowledgeable about the Crystal River and Florida’s manatees, so they’ll be able to answer any questions you may have. Our tours include: full wet suits, mask, snorkel, and coffee and hot cholate All of our tours leave from our onsite private docks, with heated changing facility and hot showers.

Q: Is there an age limit for the manatee swim experience?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but kids should be at least 6 to participate comfortably. Each child needs to be accompanied by an adult in the water. Just make sure they can swim and are comfortable in wetsuits!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad?

A: If the weather is unsafe for swimming, they will reschedule your tour. They’ll reach out to you via email or phone. It’s a good idea to check the forecast ahead of time, but the staff is really good about keeping you updated!

Q: What should we wear for the swim? Do they provide everything?

A: They provide full wetsuits, masks, and snorkels, so you just need a swimsuit underneath. Bring a towel and maybe a change of clothes for after. Also, flip-flops or water shoes are great for getting to the dock!

Just got back from the manatee swim experience! Here’s my review!

OMG, we went to Crystal River for the all-inclusive manatee swim and it was unbelievable! The guides were super knowledgeable and fun. Swimming with the manatees felt surreal. They even provided wetsuits and gear, plus hot chocolate afterwards. I’d totally recommend this for anyone who loves nature. Just a heads up, make sure to arrive early to find parking!
