A: Yes, for safety reasons, kids need to be at least 5 years old to paddle a kayak or use a paddleboard. If they’re younger, they can ride along in a tandem kayak with an adult. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water and wearing a life vest at all times!
A: If the weather looks questionable, they usually reach out to you the night before or the morning of to discuss options. You can either reschedule for a later date or, if conditions are really unsafe, they'll issue a refund. So, no worries there!
A: It's totally beginner-friendly! The guides are great at giving you the basics and helping you feel comfortable on the water. Plus, the routes are pretty calm and scenic, so you can take your time. Just bring your enthusiasm, and you’ll have a blast!

Thinking about gifting a kayak rental, any tips?
I’m considering this experience for my brother's birthday! He loves the outdoors but has never kayaked before. I saw it’s at Talbot State Park, which looks beautiful. Can anyone share their experiences? I want to make sure it’s a good gift and he’ll have a blast! What's the vibe like there?
Had an amazing time at Amelia Island Kayak rentals!
Just got back from the kayak rental at Talbot State Park, and wow, what a day! The scenery was breathtaking, and we spotted dolphins and all kinds of birds. The staff at PADL were really helpful. I went with a tandem kayak, and it was perfect for me and my friend. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves nature!
