Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but the tour is definitely more enjoyable for kids around 5 and up. Younger children might not get as much out of the experience. Just a heads up—there's a lot of walking, so make sure they can handle that. Also, parents can usually hold babies in carriers if needed!
A: I went in late September and it was stunning! The fall colors made it even better. Spring is awesome too for higher water levels. Just keep in mind summer can be crowded but you get warmer weather. Dress in layers, though, because it can get breezy near the falls!
A: Definitely wear something that you don’t mind getting wet! They provide ponchos on the Maid of the Mist, but you can still get splashed, so quick-dry fabrics are a good choice. Also, wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking a lot on the tour. I’d recommend layering up since it can be quite chilly by the falls.

Just booked the American 5pm Tour! Super excited!
I just bought the American 5pm Tour with the Maid of the Mist tickets for my family. We’re going next month, and I can't wait! I heard the guides are really fun and knowledgeable, plus, the boat ride sounds amazing. Any tips for making the most of it? Also, how does parking work there?
Has anyone done the Maid of the Mist recently?
I’m thinking of gifting this tour for my partner’s birthday. How was the experience? Is it really worth it? Also, what was the weather like? Don’t want to end up wet and cold!
