This unique Alaskan experience is the only one like it offered in the Anchorage area. Get out and enjoy the beauty of Alaska! On a clear day we'll see as many as four mountain ranges in Southcentral Alaska. We'll spend our time on a beautiful small stream within about an hour's drive of Anchorage. We'll provide hip waders so you can get your feet wet without getting your feet wet. We'll provide quality Orvis fly rods, and "normal gear" as an alternative. All you'll need is clothing appropriate to spend the day in the Alaska wilderness. Relax and enjoy the fishing, we'll take care of all the messy work and heavy lifting - except perhaps lifting the heaviest fish of the day from the water!

Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the participants on the guided fly-fishing trip?

A: There's no strict weight limit, but the guides are experienced in managing a variety of skill levels. Just remember, if you're planning to lift a big fish, having a good level of fitness helps! They provide quality gear and you won't be overly exerting yourself, but being mobile is a plus.

Q: What's the best time of year to go fly-fishing in Anchorage?

A: The summer months, especially June through August, are prime time for fly-fishing in Anchorage. That’s when you get the best weather and the fish are really active. Just check the weather forecast before your trip, and be prepared for changing conditions.

Q: Do I need to bring my own gear or is everything included?

A: Everything you need is included! They'll provide hip boots, fly rods, and all the gear necessary. You just need to wear clothing suitable for the day outside, so dress in layers and maybe bring a rain jacket just in case.

Thinking about gifting the Anchorage fly-fishing trip - any tips?

I’m considering getting the Anchorage guided fly-fishing experience for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves fishing but has never been fly-fishing before. I’ve read that they provide all the gear we need, which is great. Any tips on what to expect on our trip? Are the guides good with beginners?

Just did the Anchorage fishing trip - it was epic!

I just got back from the guided fly-fishing experience in Anchorage and it was honestly one of the best days ever! The views were stunning, we saw mountains everywhere, and the guide was super knowledgeable. I caught a few fish (even a nice salmon!) and they took care of everything. Highly recommend!
