Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the Anchorage Helicopter Flight! Kids can definitely join as long as they meet the weight requirement, which is usually around 40 lbs to fit in the harness comfortably. I took my 10-year-old, and it was an amazing experience for both of us. Just check with Alpine Air Alaska beforehand to confirm any specifics.
A: Dress in layers! It can get pretty chilly on the glacier even in summer. I'd recommend a waterproof jacket and good hiking boots. Gloves are a must too since you’ll be stepping onto the ice. Also, sunglasses are super helpful to protect your eyes from the sun reflecting off the snow!
A: Weather in Alaska can be unpredictable! If they need to cancel due to safety concerns, Alpine Air will usually offer to reschedule you for a different date. Just keep in mind that if it’s super cloudy, you might miss some views, so it’s worth checking the forecast as you get closer. I recommend having a couple of backup dates in mind just in case.
