Q&A

Q: Can I reschedule the helicopter dogsledding tour if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather conditions aren't suitable for flying. Safety is their top priority. Just call the office to arrange a new date. They’re pretty flexible, but it’s best to do this as soon as you know there might be issues.

Q: Are there any age limits for the dogsledding experience?

A: There aren't strict age limits, but kids should be at least 5 years old to participate in the dogsledding ride. Younger kids can still join the tour, but they might not ride. Always best to check with the team if you have younger kids in mind!

Q: What should I wear for the dogsledding tour?

A: Dress in layers! It can get pretty cold on the glacier, so thermal underlayers, a good winter jacket, gloves, and waterproof boots are a must. Don’t forget a hat and sunglasses to protect from the sun’s glare off the snow!

Just got back from the Anchorage Helicopter Glacier Dogsledding Tour - WOW!

I just did the dogsledding tour last week and it was unreal! The helicopter ride over the Chugach Mountains was breathtaking. Landing on the Punch Bowl Glacier and being greeted by the huskies was so cool. We got to ride and then spend time playing with the puppies — I wanted to take one home! It’s a perfect gift for anyone who loves adventure. Just a heads up, it gets cold, so dress warm. Can’t recommend this enough!

Thinking of gifting the Glacier Dogsledding Tour - any tips?

I’m considering this as a gift for my partner’s birthday! I’ve read good things about the experience, but I want to know if it’s worth the price. Is it truly as stunning as people say? Also, any tips on booking? Should I book early?
