Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, but it's generally recommended for ages 5 and up, especially for the ride. Robert is great with families, and they make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. Just be sure to check in with them if you have younger kids joining for the meet and greet.
A: Dress in layers for sure! You’ll want something warm but also flexible since you might be moving around. Waterproof shoes are a plus, especially if you're meeting puppies afterward! Robert usually provides some guidance on what’s best for the day, too.
A: Yes! Dogsled Alaska is pretty flexible with rescheduling in case of bad weather. Just make sure to contact them as soon as you know you need to change plans. They want everyone to have the best experience possible!

Just did the dog sledding experience in Anchorage!
I recently took my family to Anchorage for the Authentic Dog Sledding Experience with Robert Redington, and it was unbelievable! Learning about the history of mushing and meeting real Iditarod finishers was a huge highlight. The puppies totally stole the show though! It's such a hands-on experience, and everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend if you're in the area or looking for a unique gift!
Planning to gift this dog sledding experience - any tips?
I’m thinking about getting this dog sledding experience for my partner’s birthday. He loves dogs and outdoor activities, but I worry about the weather. If it rains, would they cancel? Also, what’s the best time of year to go? Any advice would be awesome!
