Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this guided climb at Ancient Art?

A: Yes, the minimum age for participants is usually around 12 years old, but it's best to check directly with Canyon Country Adventures for any exceptions or if younger teens can join. They want to ensure everyone's safety while still having fun! It’s a great entry point for young climbers!

Q: What should I wear for the Ancient Art climb? Any tips?

A: Definitely wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement! You’ll get some chalk dust on you, so don’t wear anything too fancy. Also, closed-toed shoes are a must, but you’ll be provided climbing shoes as part of the experience. Bring layers too, as the weather can change quickly in Moab!

Q: What if the weather's bad on the day of the climb? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, Canyon Country Adventures is pretty flexible with rescheduling if the weather doesn’t cooperate. They’ll reach out beforehand if conditions are looking dangerous. Just make sure you contact them as soon as possible if you think you’ll need to change your date.

Thinking of gifting the Ancient Art Desert Tower Guided Climb!

Hey everyone! I’m considering this guided climb in Moab for my brother's birthday. He’s never done any desert climbing before, but he loves outdoor adventures. I think it’ll be a perfect mix of excitement and challenge with those 5.8 pitches. Has anyone done this? Any tips on what to expect?

Just finished the Ancient Art climb and wow!

Just got back from the Ancient Art climb and it was such a rush! The 'plank' is definitely a heart-pounding moment. I was nervous about the 5.10 sections, but our guide let me skip those, which was cool. The team at Canyon Country Adventures was super friendly and made everyone feel safe. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to try climbing in Moab!
