Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this riding adventure? I'm thinking of gifting it to my kids.

A: The age limit for the riding experience is typically around 8 years and older, but it can depend on the child's riding experience. If they have some background in riding or are comfortable around horses, they should be fine! Just make sure to check with Sacha Pedregal Tours, as they might have specific age or weight guidelines for safety.

Q: Can this experience be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Absolutely! If the weather conditions aren’t safe for riding, Sacha Pedregal Tours will help you reschedule. Just be sure to give them a call ahead of time if you think the weather might be an issue. They’re usually pretty flexible about it.

Q: What should I wear for the Cotopaxi ride? Any recommendations?

A: Dress in layers since the weather can change rapidly! I’d recommend a good pair of hiking boots, long pants, and a warm jacket. Don't forget gloves and a hat since it can get pretty windy. Sacha provides the traditional Chagra dress, but you’ll want your own comfy gear underneath!

Thinking about gifting the Andean Adventure ride—anyone done it?

I'm considering getting the Andean Adventure: Riding and Cotopaxi Refuge experience for my partner's birthday. I heard the views are stunning and the guides are awesome! Just curious if anyone's done this recently and if it's worth it? Is the riding easy enough for beginners? Also, any tips on what to bring along?

Just got back from the Andean Adventure, what an experience!

I just finished the Cotopaxi riding adventure and wow, it was beyond what I expected! The scenery is breathtaking, and riding through the Andes was surreal. The guides were super friendly too. We even had a chance to learn about the local culture while wearing the Chagra outfits. Totally recommend it!
