Q&A
A: Yes, the minimum age for kids to participate is usually around 8 years old. It's best if they can paddle on their own, and the hike can be challenging at times. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water and able to follow instructions. If you have younger kids, maybe check out other family-friendly options in the area.
A: The hike has some steep areas but is manageable for most people. If you're not used to hiking, just take your time and enjoy the scenery. The guide is great at pacing the group. Definitely wear sturdy shoes, though! If you're really worried, you could ask to do just the kayak part.
A: Wear quick-dry clothing and definitely bring a hat and sunglasses! A swimsuit is a good idea if you might want to jump in the water. Also, sturdy shoes are a must for the hike—it gets sandy and rocky. Don’t forget sunscreen; the sun can be intense out there. The company provides life jackets and kayaks, so just bring what you’ll be comfortable in!

Just did the Antelope Canyon Kayak & Hike—What an Experience!
I just got back from the kayak & hike combo tour at Antelope Canyon, and wow, it was amazing! The sandstone walls are breathtaking, and paddling through the canyon was surreal. The hike was a little challenging but doable, and our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the area. Definitely wear good shoes and bring plenty of water. I’d recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors!
Thinking of Gifting the Antelope Canyon Experience – Any Tips?
I want to surprise my boyfriend with the kayak tour and hike at Antelope Canyon. He loves nature but isn’t super athletic. Do you think it’s a good fit for him? Also, are there any specific tips for first-timers?
