Q&A

Q: What's the best way to prepare for the Pearl Harbor tour? Any tips on what to wear?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable shoes since you'll be doing a bit of walking at the USS Arizona Memorial and around Honolulu. Lightweight, breathable clothing is best since it can get pretty warm. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen! Also, check the weather beforehand – if it's rainy, an umbrella might be a good idea.

Q: Are there age restrictions for the tour? Is it suitable for younger kids?

A: There aren't any strict age limits, and the tour is generally suitable for kids. However, just be aware of the emotional weight of the Pearl Harbor site. Some kids might not fully grasp the history, but the storytelling can engage them. It's more about how your kids handle historical content. Overall, it should be a meaningful experience for families!

Q: If the weather is bad, do they reschedule or cancel the tour?

A: They usually monitor the weather closely. If conditions are unsafe, they might reschedule the tour. It's best to check with Aloha Sunshine Tours a day or two before your tour for any updates. They’re really good about keeping in touch with customers regarding potential weather issues.
