Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this private tour?

A: There’s no specific age limit for children, but it's recommended for kids around 10 and older, so they can appreciate the significance of the site. Also, be aware that the tour involves quite a bit of walking and can last a few hours. If you bring younger kids, consider if they’ll enjoy it.

Q: How easy is parking near Arlington Cemetery?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky. There’s limited street parking near the cemetery, and it gets crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. I’d recommend using public transport if possible, or check if your tour provides parking arrangements. Uber and Lyft are also good options!

Q: What happens if the weather’s bad on the day of the tour?

A: The tour generally goes on rain or shine, since it’s mostly outdoors. However, if there are severe weather warnings, you’ll likely be contacted to reschedule. Just make sure to check the forecast and dress accordingly. Waterproof shoes might be a good idea!

Just did the Arlington Cemetery tour and wow!

I went on the Arlington Cemetery private tour last weekend with DC Military Tours. Our guide was a veteran, and he shared so many amazing stories about the history of the cemetery. Seeing the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns was super moving. We even got to visit the Kennedy graves and Robert E. Lee’s mansion! I totally recommend it if you want a meaningful experience in D.C.

Looking to gift the Arlington tour experience, any advice?

I want to buy this Arlington Cemetery private tour as a gift for my dad. He’s a history buff and loves military history. Any tips on making it special? Should I include a personal note or anything? Also, what’s the best time of year for this tour?
