Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit for the Around Portland Like a Local tour, so kids can absolutely join! Just keep in mind that it involves about 2 miles of walking, so make sure they’re up for it. Also, it’s a great way to introduce them to different foods in a fun setting. I took my 10-year-old, and we both loved exploring the food carts!
A: You’ll be outside walking around for the most part, so wear comfy shoes and dress in layers! Portland's weather can be unpredictable. A light rain jacket is a good idea, just in case. Most of the stops are indoors, but you’ll definitely want to be prepared for any weather changes.
A: The tours happen several times a week, so you’ve got plenty of options to choose from! If you need to reschedule, it’s usually pretty easy. Just give them a call or email, and they’re pretty flexible with changing dates. Just make sure to do it a few days ahead of time when possible.

Just did the Around Portland Like a Local food tour and it was awesome!
I went on the tour last weekend and had such a great time! We started with coffee at this cute little spot, then hit up some amazing food carts. The chocolate dessert at the end was to die for. Perfect for anyone who loves food and wants to explore the city. I’m thinking about giving it as a gift to my sister for her birthday! Highly recommend it!
Thinking about the food tour as a gift. Is it worth it?
I’m considering the Around Portland Like a Local food tour for my friend who’s visiting soon. She loves trying new foods and exploring. Is it really worth it? What were your favorite parts? Does it feel more touristy or local?
