Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for the Astroville Houston Tunnel Tour?

A: There aren't any specific age limits for the Astroville Houston Tunnel Tour. It's a family-friendly experience, so kids and adults can join! Just keep in mind that it involves walking, so it might not be suitable for very young kids who get tired easily or for those with mobility issues. Overall, it's a great way to learn about Houston's history while beating the heat!

Q: What's the best time of year to do this tour? Is it outdoors at all?

A: The tour is mostly indoors, so you can enjoy it any time of year, even during the hot Houston summer! You'll get some exterior views, but most of the experience is in the cool tunnels. Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes since there is some walking involved. Spring and fall tend to be the most pleasant weather if you’re also interested in outdoor activities afterward.

Q: How's the parking situation near the tour start point?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky since the tour is in downtown Houston. There are several parking garages nearby, and some of them might offer discounts if you validate with local businesses. I'd recommend checking Google Maps for garage options ahead of time. If you can, using public transport or ridesharing is a good idea to avoid the hassle!

Thinking of gifting the Astroville Tunnel Tour - thoughts?

Hey everyone! I’m considering gifting the Astroville Houston Tunnel Tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love history and exploring new places, and this sounds perfect since it’s all in the cool tunnels! Just wondering if anyone's done it yet and if you think they’d enjoy it? Also, do you think it’s worth the price?

Just did the Astroville Tunnel Tour - so cool!

I went on the Astroville Houston Tunnel Tour last week. Honestly, it was way better than I expected! The guide was super knowledgeable and we got to see parts of Houston that most locals don’t even know about. Plus, it was nice to escape the heat for a bit. Highly recommend bringing a camera; the views inside the skyscrapers were really something!
