Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Civil War and Civil Rights tour in Atlanta?

A: Great question! There isn't a strict age limit for the tour, but I found it's really tailored for adults and teens due to the historical content. Kids might not grasp everything unless they're particularly interested in history. Also, keep in mind that some of the plantations can have uneven ground, so younger kids might need supervision.

Q: What should I wear on the Atlanta tour? Is it mostly outdoors?

A: You’ll want to wear something comfortable! The tour includes visiting outside locations like the Smith & Bulloch plantations and Kennesaw Mountain, so I'd suggest breathable clothing and good walking shoes. Also, check the weather before you go, since rain can happen and there's some walking involved!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather turns bad, they usually offer a rescheduling option. I’ve heard that they’re pretty flexible, so just reach out to them as soon as you can! As long as you let them know, they’ll work with you to find another date. Just make sure to check their cancellation policy when you book.

Just got back from the Civil Rights tour in Atlanta! Here’s my take!

I went on the Atlanta Plantations, Civil War and Civil Rights tour last weekend, and wow, it was amazing! The Smith and Bulloch plantations were so rich in history, and I learned a ton about the Civil Rights movement as well. The visit to the Apex Museum was a highlight for me! The guide was super knowledgeable and made the trip exciting. Definitely recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves history!

Thinking of gifting the Atlanta tour! Is it worth it?

I’m considering this tour for my brother’s birthday. He’s really into history and I think he’d appreciate visiting places like Kennesaw Mountain. But is it a full-day thing, or more of a few hours? Just trying to figure out logistics. Any thoughts?
