Q&A

Q: How does the pickup from the hotel work? Is it only for certain hotels in Fairbanks?

A: The pickup is super convenient! They pick you up from any hotel in Fairbanks between 8 PM and 8:30 PM. Just make sure to confirm your hotel details when you book. Also, it’s included in the price, which is awesome!

Q: Is there an age limit for this ice fishing experience? Can kids join?

A: Kids can absolutely join the ice fishing! It’s a family-friendly experience. Just make sure they’re dressed warmly and can handle the cold. The guides are great with kids, too!

Q: What should I wear for the ice fishing part? Is it super cold?

A: Definitely dress in layers! Temperatures can really drop at night. A good insulated jacket, thermal layers, and waterproof boots are a must. They have heated huts, but you’ll still want to be warm for when you step outside to see the Northern Lights!

Just booked the Aurora Ice Fishing experience! Any tips?

Hey everyone! I just booked the Aurora Ice Fishing tour in Fairbanks for next month! I’m so excited about both the ice fishing and seeing the Northern Lights. I’ve heard the hot beverages and fish snacks they provide are pretty good, too. Any tips on what to expect or what to bring? This is my first time doing something like this.

Just did the Aurora Ice Fishing, here’s my experience!

Wow, what an experience! We went ice fishing last week and the Northern Lights were absolutely stunning. The heated hut kept us warm while fishing, and our guide was super friendly. We caught a few fish, and the snacks were a nice touch. Just remember to dress warmly and bring a camera for those lights! Highly recommend this tour.
