Q&A
A: The prime time for chasing the Northern Lights in Fairbanks is from late August through mid-April. During these months, the nights are longer, and you have a better chance of clear skies. Just make sure to check the moon phase, as darker nights are ideal for viewing the lights!
A: They don’t provide warm clothing, so you’ll need to dress in layers. Bring a good winter coat, thermal layers, gloves, and a hat. The cold can be intense, but the experience is worth it if you're prepared!
A: The Aurora Chase is not physically demanding at all. Most of the time, you'll be in the vehicle or viewing the lights from a comfortable area. It’s definitely suitable for older adults. Just be sure they’re warm enough and can handle sitting in a vehicle for a few hours!

Planning to gift the Aurora Chase Experience!
I’m thinking about gifting the Aurora Oval Nightly Northern Lights Chase for my sister’s birthday. It's $0.00 (which is wild) and sounds like such an amazing experience! The fact that they provide transportation from Fairbanks is super helpful. I just want to make sure it's a good time of year for it. Anyone done this in March? What was it like?
Is the Aurora Chase worth it?
Hey everyone! I’m considering booking the Aurora Chase for me and my husband while we’re in Fairbanks. We’ve never seen the Northern Lights before, and I just want to know if it feels worth the hype! They say they help with photography, which is awesome because I have no idea how to capture the lights. Any thoughts?
