Q&A
A: Yes, there is a weight limit of 250 lbs for the horseback riding experience. They want to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. If you're close to that limit, I'd recommend calling ahead to see if they can accommodate you. Otherwise, the ride is pretty accessible for most people!
A: Definitely wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Boots are ideal, but any sturdy shoes work. Layering is a good idea since it can be chilly in the morning but warms up during the day, especially if you’re riding. Don’t forget sunscreen if it’s sunny!
A: Weather can definitely impact the ride. If it's raining heavily or winds are strong, they may reschedule for safety. They usually notify you in advance. If you’re unsure, just call ahead to check. It’s good to have a flexible schedule!

Thinking about gifting the B&C horseback riding experience, any thoughts?
I’m considering this horseback riding and Derby Museum experience at Keeneland for my sister's birthday. She's always loved horses and I think it could be a great day out! I heard they provide snacks and drinks, which is nice. Just wondering if it’s really suitable for beginners? Would love some feedback from anyone who’s been there!
Just did the B&C horseback riding, here's my experience!
Wow, I just got back from the horseback riding experience at Churchill Downs and it was amazing! The ride through the nature trails was so calming, and the Derby Museum tour added a cool touch. Make sure you wear comfy shoes; you’ll want to enjoy every moment! I can't recommend it enough for anyone who loves animals or just needs a fun day out!
