Q&A
A: No specific age limit, but it’s best suited for kids 5 and up, as the tour can last a few hours. They should be able to sit in the van for that time. Parents often bring snacks and some toys for the little ones. Just be sure to check with the provider if you have very young kids!
A: They usually check the weather before the tour. If it looks unsafe, they’ll reschedule you for another day, no extra fees. Just give them a call if you’re worried the day before or the morning of your tour. They’re pretty flexible!
A: Layers are key! Mornings can be chilly, but it warms up during the day. Bring a light jacket and wear comfy shoes since there may be some short walks. Also, don’t forget sunscreen! Even if it’s cloudy, those rays can be strong.

Thinking of gifting the Badlands Van Tour—any insights?
I'm considering getting the Badlands Premium Hard Top Van Tour for my parents. They love nature and haven't been to South Dakota yet. The picnic lunch sounds great, but I'm curious about the guide's knowledge. Are they engaging? Also, any tips for making it even better? Thanks!
Just finished the Badlands Van Tour—what an experience!
I took the Badlands Premium Hard Top Van Tour last week and wow, it was incredible! Our guide was super knowledgeable and the views were breathtaking. We had a picnic lunch out in the landscape, which made for some epic photos. Highly recommend it for anyone! Anyone else done this?
