Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Bar Harbor Walking Tour? Can kids join?

A: There's no strict age limit for the Bar Harbor Walking Tour! Kids are definitely welcome, but it’s good to note that the walk covers a fair bit of ground and lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours. If you bring younger kids, just be prepared to keep them engaged with the stories! It's a great way to teach them about the local history.

Q: What should I wear for the walking tour? Any suggestions?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking on various surfaces around Bar Harbor. A light jacket is a good idea too, especially if you’re going in the morning or later in the day when it can get a bit chilly. You might wanna bring a hat and sunscreen if it's sunny, since there are some open areas.

Q: How do they handle cancellations due to bad weather? Will I get my money back?

A: If the weather's looking rough, they’ll let you know 24 hours ahead of time, and you’ll get a full refund if they cancel. That said, it’s Maine, so sometimes the weather can change quickly! It might be good to keep an eye on the forecast just in case.

Just finished the Bar Harbor Walking Tour - such a great experience!

I went on the Bar Harbor Walking Tour last week and it was awesome! The guide took us around the Village Green and shared so many interesting stories about the history of the area. It was just 4 of us, so it felt super personalized. If you're in Bar Harbor, I highly recommend it! I think it lasts about 1.5 hours, but it felt like the time flew by. Best part? It’s totally free!

Thinking of gifting the Bar Harbor Walking Tour - any thoughts?

I want to get a gift for my parents who love history and walking. The Bar Harbor Walking Tour sounds perfect, but I’m worried about their fitness level. They’re in their 60s! Is this walk manageable for them? Anyone done it with older folks?
