Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to enjoy the Battleship IOWA experience?

A: No specific age limit, which is great! Kids of all ages can enjoy walking the decks and learning about the ship's history. Just keep in mind that some areas might be challenging for toddlers due to stairs and less stable surfaces. Overall, it's perfect for family outings!

Q: Do you have to book in advance for the Battleship tour?

A: It's recommended to book in advance, especially on weekends. While walk-ins can be accommodated, busy days may lead to longer wait times. The tickets are free, so why not just secure your spot ahead of time?

Q: What should I wear for the Battleship IOWA tour? Is it outdoors?

A: Dress comfortably! Most of the tour is outdoors, so wear layers depending on the weather. Comfortable shoes are a must since you’ll be walking a lot on uneven surfaces. Bring a hat and sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Thinking of gifting the Battleship IOWA experience - any tips?

Hey everyone! I’m considering giving the Battleship IOWA General Access Pass to my dad for his birthday. He’s a huge history buff, especially about WWII. I heard the views of the Port of Los Angeles are amazing! Any tips on what to expect? Should we go during the week to avoid crowds?

Just visited the Battleship IOWA - wow!

I went to the USS IOWA last week, and what an experience! The stories from the veterans were incredibly touching, and walking the decks felt surreal. The free mobile app really added value with all the extra info and videos. Can’t believe this is free; I’d gladly pay for an experience like this.
