I'm considering giving my brother a Beachside Moped Rental for his birthday. We could ride along the coast from Carlsbad to Encinitas! I know he loves the ocean, and cruising on a moped sounds perfect. But is it really worth it? Has anyone done this recently?

Just did the moped rental—what a ride!

Wow, I just got back from renting a moped at Beachside Moped Rentals in Carlsbad, and I can't recommend it enough! The bikes are super fun, and we cruised through La Jolla and Del Mar. The one tank of gas they give you lasts a while too. Just remember to wear sunscreen; I’m fried! 😂
