Q&A
A: Great question! The Bears, Trains & Icebergs Tour is fun for all ages, but kids under 2 can actually go for free if they sit on a parent's lap. Most families bring kids over 5, and there's always plenty to keep them engaged. Just remember to pack some snacks if they get hungry!
A: There is some walking, especially at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where you can see the animals up close. However, the paths are pretty accessible. Plus, the tour provides an air-conditioned vehicle for comfort in between stops. If mobility is a concern, just let them know ahead of time so they can assist you.
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be chilly on the water, especially if the wind picks up. A waterproof jacket is a must, and don't forget a hat and sunglasses too. The tour provides life jackets for everyone, so you’ll be safe while looking out for those gorgeous icebergs!

Just got back from the Bears, Trains & Icebergs Tour - WOW!
I can't believe how amazing this experience was! The Glacier Discovery Train ride was so scenic, and the views of the icebergs on Spencer Glacier Lake were like something outta a postcard. The sack lunch was tasty, and my kids had a blast at the Wildlife Conservation Center. Definitely worth the price. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Anchorage!
Thinking of gifting the Bears, Trains & Icebergs Tour!
I'm looking to surprise my parents with this tour! They love nature and trains. Can anyone tell me how long the river float lasts and if it’s suitable for seniors? I just wanna make sure they’ll enjoy it and not get too tired.
