You select your start-time. At least 1-hour prior to Sunset is recommend. 2-hours are included, however you can shorten or extend, it is your Private Charter. Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the private charter, especially if I want to bring my family?

A: Great question! There isn't a strict weight limit, but the boat can comfortably accommodate up to 6-8 people. Just keep in mind the more people, the less space for snacks and gear. If you're bringing kids, they’ll have plenty of room to enjoy the views!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule if we can't go?

A: Yes! The captain prioritizes safety, so if the weather isn't ideal, you can definitely reschedule. Just give them a call at least a day before your trip to discuss options. They want you to have the best experience possible without risking it!

Q: What's the best time to book this cruise? Morning or evening?

A: Evening is definitely the way to go for this cruise! Starting an hour before sunset gives you the chance to enjoy the scenery and then catch the amazing views of Mt. Edgecumbe as the sun dips down. Just make sure to bring a camera; you won’t want to miss the colors!

Thinking about gifting the Sitka Sound Sunset Cruise!

Hey everyone! I'm considering getting the Beautiful Sitka Sound Sunset Cruise for my parents' anniversary. They're in their 60s and love nature, but I’m worried about how rough the waters can get. Has anyone done this before? What's it like? Also, is it easy to find parking around there?

Just got back from the sunset cruise! So worth it!

OMG, if you're thinking about this cruise, just do it! We went last week and the views of Mt. Edgecumbe during sunset were gorgeous. The captain was awesome and made sure we were comfortable. We even saw some wildlife! Definitely recommend bringing a light jacket because it got chilly out there.
