Learn to surf during this 2-hour lesson for beginners on Maui's south shore. Gain a new appreciation for Hawaii's national sport with the help of a professional local surf instructor. Our small classes make the learning easy, fun and personable. Our South Shore location is the best spot on the island to learn the sport. We have a range of surfboards to choose from and also provide reef shoes and a lycra rashguard. You are guaranteed to surf in this class! All participants must be able to swim in the ocean Minimum age to join the adult class is 11 years old age 8 and up can join a family member in a semi-private class any surfer under 8 requires a private lesson

A: You’ll want to wear a swimsuit, and the school provides lycra rashguards, which are great for sun protection. Reef shoes are also provided, so you don’t have to worry about those! Just make sure you’re comfortable because you’ll be in the water for a bit.

I just did the beginner surf lesson on Maui’s south shore and wow, what a blast! The instructors were super chill and really helped me catch some waves. Totally recommend it! I loved that they provided everything, including the boards and reef shoes. It was a perfect way to spend a morning in paradise!
