Q&A
A: There aren’t any strict age limits for the Behind the Plaques tour. It's pretty family-friendly! That said, younger kids might get restless during the 2-hour walking tour, so it’s probably best for ages 8 and up. But I saw families with toddlers, too, so it can work if they're used to being out and about.
A: Savannah can be super hot and humid, especially in summer! I'd recommend wearing breathable clothing and comfortable walking shoes. Don’t forget to bring water and maybe a hat or sunglasses. The tour goes rain or shine, so if thunderstorms are in the forecast, keep an eye on your email in case they need to reschedule.
A: Parking can be a bit tricky since the Historic District gets busy, but there are some public lots a few blocks away. I suggest arriving early to find street parking or use one of the lots. Just be ready to walk a little to get to the starting point!

Just booked the Behind the Plaques tour! So excited!
I just grabbed a couple of tickets for the Behind the Plaques walking tour in Savannah for next month! I've lived here all my life, but I know there's so much I don't know about the history. I heard the guides are super knowledgeable and make it really engaging. It's $0 right now, which is amazing! Anyone else been? Any tips for the best experience?
Any recommendations for the Behind the Plaques tour?
Thinking of gifting this Behind the Plaques tour to my parents. They love history and Savannah. Is it worth it? How long is it really? I want to make sure it's a good experience and not too tiring.
