Q&A
A: There aren't strict age limits, but kids should be able to walk for the hour and navigate some uneven surfaces. I'd say it's perfect for ages 8 and up. Just make sure they’re into history a bit since the tour involves listening to a lot of stories about Seattle's past!
A: Definitely wear comfy shoes! You’ll be walking a lot on uneven ground. A light jacket is a good idea too since it can get a bit chilly underground. Layers are your best bet, especially if the weather is unpredictable above ground.
A: The tour runs rain or shine since you're mostly underground. If you need to reschedule, they’re pretty flexible, just give them a call ahead of time. They want to make sure you have a great experience!

I went on the Beneath The Streets tour last weekend, and it was incredible! Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the history of Pioneer Square really come alive. The underground pathways are fascinating, and you really get a sense of Seattle’s transformation over the years. If you're looking for a unique gift idea for someone who loves history, I can't recommend this enough! Also, be sure to wear comfy shoes.
Considering Beneath The Streets as a gift—thoughts?
I’m thinking about getting tickets for the Beneath The Streets tour for my husband’s birthday. He loves weird history stuff! Has anyone else done this? Is it worth it? What should I expect?
