Best of Niagara Falls Canada Premium Tour: Behind Falls and Boat

Your first stop is Skylon Tower, you’ll head up 520 ft. in a glass elevator to the observation deck where you will be treated to an incredible, birds-eye view of all three Niagara Falls, the Niagara River & surrounding area. At your next stop you will descend 125 ft to explore cave-like tunnels at Journey Behind the Falls. This experience is a treat for the senses as you’ll be able to not only hear the falls, but feel them as well. Next jump aboard the 20-minute Niagara City Cruises (Hornblower) Boat Tour (seasonal, operating May-Dec., replaced with Niagara Takes Flight during the winter months). You will sail around the Niagara gorge, get as close as possible to the Falls and feel the refreshing mist. During the final portion of your tour, your guide will take you on a narrated driving tour of the city. Your guide will take you to several points of interest including the Dufferin Islands, the International Control Dam, the Old Scow, Whirlpool Rapids and the Floral Clock

A: Yes, this tour is great for kids! Ages 5 and up really enjoy the sights and the boat ride. Just be sure they’re comfortable with water and heights, especially at Skylon Tower. The mist from the falls can be a hit or miss with some kids, so a raincoat is a good idea.

Q: What's the best time of year to do this tour? Is it crowded in summer?

A: Summer is peak season, so expect big crowds, but the weather is usually perfect for the boat ride! Late spring or early fall can be great too—less crowded and still beautiful views. Just know that if you go in winter, the boat ride is replaced with the Niagara Takes Flight experience, which is still cool but different.

Q: Can you take this tour if you're not staying in Niagara Falls?

A: Definitely! You can join the tour from anywhere, but if you choose the pickup option, just make sure you're at the right meeting point. It’s all well organized. If you aren't local, just plan your drive to Niagara Falls well so you can enjoy the tour without rushing.

I just got back from the Niagara City Cruises as part of the Best of Niagara Falls tour, and wow! Skylon Tower gave us incredible views, and Journey Behind the Falls was so immersive. I loved feeling the power of the water! The guide was super knowledgeable too. Highly recommend this for anyone who loves adventure!
