Q&A
A: There’s really no age limit! The tour is designed for everyone, from kids to adults. Just keep in mind that younger kids might get restless during the longer hikes. I took my 8-year-old, and he loved the wildlife stories, but we had to keep the hiking shorter for him. It’s perfect for families!
A: Yes! The app works completely offline once you download the tour. Just make sure to download it before you head out to Big Bend since cell service can be spotty. The offline maps and GPS will guide you perfectly, so you won’t miss a thing.
A: Definitely wear comfy clothes and sturdy shoes! The trails can get rocky, and you’ll be walking quite a bit. I recommend lightweight, breathable layers since it gets hot during the day but can cool down at night. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat!

Just got back from Big Bend with the audio tour - wow!
I just finished the self-guided audio tour in Big Bend National Park and it was incredible! The stories about the wildlife and history really added to the experience. We hiked around some of the trails and I loved how the GPS synced the audio to where we were at. Plus, the sunsets were breathtaking! Just a heads up - bring a good camera because you’ll want to capture everything. Can’t wait to go back!
Thinking of gifting the Big Bend audio tour - good idea?
I’m considering gifting the audio tour for my brother’s birthday. He loves nature and hiking, but I’m not sure if it’ll be enough for him. Has anyone done this as a gift? How did it go? I love that it’s customizable and he can explore at his own pace. Just want to make sure it’s a hit!
