Q&A
A: There’s no official age limit, but the tour is best suited for kids aged 7 and up because of the walking involved and the long day. If they can handle a full day of fun and are interested in volcanoes and nature, they’ll definitely enjoy it! Just keep in mind that the tour can be pretty packed with activities.
A: You’ll get a picnic lunch that typically includes a sandwich, fruit, and a sweet treat from Big Island Candies. They also provide snacks and drinks throughout the day. No need to bring food unless you have specific dietary restrictions. Just bring some sunscreen and comfy shoes!
A: They do run in most weather conditions, but if there’s severe weather, they’ll reschedule or refund your ticket. It’s always good to check the forecast and bring a light jacket, just in case! The rain can actually make the waterfalls even more spectacular.

So excited for my upcoming Big Island tour!
I just booked the Volcano, Waterfalls & Coffee Group Tour with Wayfind Hawaii for later this month! I can’t wait to see Kīlauea and the black sand beach! I’ve heard amazing things about the guides. Has anyone tried the coffee tasting at the farm? Any tips on what to wear?
Just did the Big Island tour—what an adventure!
OMG, the Volcano tour was insane! Seeing Kīlauea up close was breathtaking. We also hit up Rainbow Falls and the black sand beach was surreal! The local dessert at lunch was a hit too. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting a day of fun and learning. Just be prepared for a long day!
