Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our Big Island Waterfall Wonders Tour! This tour takes you on a breathtaking journey, starting with a trek to the east side of the island on New Saddle Road. For the performance-minded, you can take Old Saddle Road, the rollercoaster of Big Island, where you'll climb to an altitude of 6,600 feet before dropping down into Hilo. Your first stop will be the magnificent Rainbow Falls, where you can witness the beauty of cascading water in all its glory. Continue your drive along the Old Mamalahoa Highway until you reach the awe-inspiring Akaka Falls, standing tall at 420 feet. Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Umauma Falls, take a trip down to Laupahoehoe, experience the panoramic views at Waipio Lookout, indulge in delicious Malasadas at Ted's, and explore the charming shops in Waimae town. But it's not just about the destinations; it's about the journey itself. Our Polaris Slingshot vehicles make the drive an exhilarating experience.

Q&A

Q: Can you take kids on the Big Island Waterfall Wonders Slingshot Tour?

A: Yes, you can take kids along for the ride, but they must be at least 12 years old to ride in the Slingshot. You’ll also need to make sure they wear a helmet while riding, which is provided. Just keep in mind the pace and some of the drops might be a bit intense for younger ones, so it’s best for adventurous families!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the tour day?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, Aloha Motorsports will usually try to reschedule your tour for another day. It’s a good idea to call them ahead of time if you’re concerned about rain, especially since some roads can get slippery. Just keep an eye on the forecast and be ready for a bit of adventure, rain or shine!

Q: What should I wear for the Slingshot tour?

A: Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty! The Slingshot can get a little dusty on the roads, and if it rains, you might get wet. Closed-toe shoes are recommended since you’ll be stopping at waterfalls and trails. Bring layers too, it can get chilly up at higher elevations!

Thinking of gifting the Big Island Waterfall Wonders Tour - any tips?

I’m looking to gift this Slingshot tour to my boyfriend for his birthday! I love the idea of cruising around the Big Island and checking out all the waterfalls, especially Akaka Falls. Has anyone done this? Any must-know tips for first-timers?

Just did the Slingshot tour - so much fun!

I just got back from the Big Island Waterfall Wonders Tour and I can’t recommend it enough! The Slingshot was super fun to drive, and the views were out of this world. Rainbow Falls and the vibe at Laupahoehoe were my favorites. Don’t forget your camera for the views!
