Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the Big Sur trip? Is it cold by the coast?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be warm in San Jose but pretty chilly near the coast. Bring a light jacket or sweater for the Bixby Bridge and while you're at Pfeiffer State Park. Also, comfy shoes are a must if you plan to do some hiking around the Redwoods!

Q: Is it easy to cancel or reschedule if something comes up?

A: Yes, rescheduling is generally flexible! Just make sure to reach out to California Pacific Excursions at least 48 hours in advance. They’re super accommodating as long as you give them a heads up.

Q: What’s included in the price for the Big Sur trip? Any hidden fees?

A: All fees are included! Your package covers private transportation, WiFi, and even the return trip on the Coast Starlight train if you opt for that. Just make sure to check if meals are on you or included—some tours don't cover lunch.

Thinking about booking the Big Sur trip as a gift for my parents!

I found this private charter trip from San Jose to Big Sur and it looks amazing! It’s 8 hours long, which seems perfect for exploring. They stop at places like the Bixby Bridge and Pfeiffer State Park. The fact that it’s private really caught my eye since I want them to have a personal experience. Has anyone done this? What did you think?

Anyone else feel nervous about the drive to Big Sur?

I’m thinking of doing this Big Sur trip from San Jose but the thought of driving those winding roads kinda freaks me out. I heard it’s super scenic but also potentially stressful. Did anyone else feel this way before their trip? Any tips?
