Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Bike Adventure? Looking to take my family.

A: There's no strict age limit! The guides are great at accommodating all fitness levels, so kids should be fine as long as they can ride a bike. Just check with the provider about any specific gear requirements for younger riders. It’s a beautiful trail and ideal for families!

Q: What should we wear? Is there a dress code for the trail?

A: Wear comfortable athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes. Layers are a good idea since it can get chilly in the Black Hills, especially in the morning! Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses too. You’ll be outside for a while!

Q: What if it rains? Do we get to reschedule the bike tour?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather doesn't cooperate! The Black Hills Tour Company is pretty flexible about that. Just reach out to them as soon as you know the weather’s not great. They’ll work with you to find another time that suits your schedule!

Thinking about gifting the Bike Adventure on the Mickelson Trail!

I’m considering this for my husband’s birthday. He loves biking, and I think the scenic views and historical bits would be a nice touch! I saw it includes a bike and helmet. Is there a way to customize the route based on skill level? Would love to hear any tips from people who’ve done it!

Just did the Bike Adventure, and it was fantastic!

We went last weekend, and honestly, it was one of the best experiences ever! The Black Hills are breathtaking on a bike, and our guide shared some cool local history. It's super beginner-friendly too! I’m thinking about gifting it to my sister’s family next. Highly recommend!
