Q&A
A: Yes, you need to be at least 16 years old to rent an e-bike in NYC. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver. Just keep in mind that you should also know how to ride a bike pretty well since the e-bikes can be a bit zippy!
A: Dress comfortably! You’ll want breathable clothes, maybe athletic shorts and a t-shirt. Don't forget sunscreen since you'll be exposed to sun a lot. And definitely wear sneakers for better pedaling. They provide helmets, but I’d recommend wearing something that you can tie back your hair if it’s long!
A: You don’t actually need to worry about parking! You can just return the e-bike to the rental shop when you’re done. Plus, there are lots of bike racks around Central Park if you want to hop off and explore. Just be sure to lock it up securely if you do!

Thinking about getting e-bikes for a family day in Central Park!
Hey everyone! I’m planning a family outing in NYC and thought renting e-bikes would be super fun. We’re thinking of cruising around Central Park and maybe even hitting some of the city streets. Has anyone done this? Would love to know how it went and if it’s worth it for kids. Just want to make sure it’s not too overwhelming for them!
What’s the best time of day to ride e-bikes in Central Park?
I’m planning to book an e-bike rental soon and wondering when’s the best time to hit the park. I’ve heard mornings are nice but also curious about evenings. Has anyone experienced both? Which one is better?
