Limited time offer, lowest price in Arizona! Welcome to a flight experience for beginners in a training biplane from WWII. You will be exposed to flying in an open cockpit biplane over the McDowall Mountains. The Stearman biplane was used 80 years ago to teach the aviation cadets of WWII, so you will be learning in an authentic piece of history. There are only 2 seats in the plane, one for you and one for me. We'll start with a preflight inspection followed by an explanation of the radios and controls. We can fly smooth and level, or we can add in some more energetic maneuvers for those that desire a more thrilling experience. You will be invited to take the controls as part of the experience. From engine start to return will take approximately 30 minutes although the entire experience last about 1.5 hours. This is a unique experience where you will be exposed to the same type of training that the "Greatest Generation" did during WWII. It's like traveling back in time nearly 80 years

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this biplane flight experience?

A: Yes, the minimum age is 12 years old, but kids under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent. It's a great adventure for teens! Just make sure they’re comfortable with heights and flying in an open cockpit.

Q: What should I wear for the flight?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Since it’s an open cockpit, layering is a good idea because it can get windy up there! Sunglasses and a hat are also helpful.

Q: What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: If the weather's bad, they’ll contact you to reschedule. Safety’s the priority. They’re pretty flexible, so it's usually easy to find a new time that works for you!

Just booked a biplane flight in Mesa, can't wait!

I’m really excited! I got this for my boyfriend's birthday and it’ll be his first time flying in a biplane. The idea of soaring over the McDowall Mountains in that WWII Stearman biplane sounds incredible. Plus, it's the cheapest option I found in Arizona! Anyone have tips on how to make the most of it?

Thinking of gifting the biplane experience—thoughts?

Hey everyone! I’m considering this biplane flight for my dad’s retirement gift. He’s always had a fascination with WWII planes. Do you think this would be a good choice? I worry he might be nervous about the open cockpit.
