Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this treasure hunt?

A: There's no strict age limit, but it's best for kids aged 5 and up. The treasure hunt is designed to be family-friendly, so younger kids can definitely join in the fun. Just keep in mind they’ll need to be able to stay focused for the duration of the 3-hour excursion!

Q: What do I need to wear for this excursion? Is it a workout?

A: Definitely wear layers! The weather can change quickly in Denali. Comfortable hiking shoes are a must since you'll be outdoors searching for clues. It's not too strenuous, but some light hiking is involved, so be prepared for a bit of movement.

Q: How's the parking situation if I drive myself?

A: Parking is pretty easy at the starting point on Otto Lake Road. There’s enough space for several vehicles, so you shouldn't have any issues finding a spot. Just try to arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled time if you're driving yourself.

Just got back from the Black Diamond Treasure Hunt!

Wow, what an amazing experience! We just did the treasure hunt in Denali and had such a blast! The kids were so excited looking for clues, and we even found some cool granite rocks. The backcountry meal was delicious too - way better than I expected for outdoor dining! Highly recommend this for families. We're already planning to go again next summer!

Thinking about gifting the treasure hunt experience!

I'm looking for a unique gift for my niece's birthday and came across this treasure hunt in Denali. It sounds like so much fun, but I’m a little worried about the weather at that time. Anyone have thoughts on whether they reschedule for bad weather? Also, any tips for what to bring?
