Explore culinary arts like never before! Black Food Tour showcases the vibrancy of Black-owned restaurants, culture, and cuisine - visiting up to 5 local partnering restaurants. Tours are led by Oakland natives who share more about the changing landscape, art, culture, and history of Oakland while guests enjoy food all over the globe. **NOTE*** 1 Week Recommendation: We recommend booking your tour at least one week prior to your selected tour date as this allows time to coordinate with our restaurant partners. If a selected tour date is chosen and is less than 1 week away, we may not be able to accommodate the tour. Thinking of gifting the Black Food Tour - anyone done it?

I’m considering booking the Black Food Tour for my brother's birthday next month! The idea of exploring 5 Black-owned restaurants in Oakland sounds amazing. I love that it includes a local guide who knows the history, too. Just wondering, can I customize the food stops if we have dietary restrictions? Has anyone tried this, and how was the experience?

Just went on the Black Food Tour - Here’s my recap!

I went on the Black Food Tour last weekend and it was incredible! We visited these amazing spots that I’d never heard of before. The tour guide shared cool stories about each restaurant and the food was delicious! My favorite was the soul food place we stopped at. Pro tip: come hungry because there’s a ton of food!
