Q&A

Q: What's the age requirement for this blown glass experience? Can my 12-year-old join if I supervise?

A: The age requirement for the Blown Glass Drop Vases experience is 13+, but kids younger than that can participate if they're with a parent or guardian. So your 12-year-old can definitely join, just make sure to book consecutive time slots! It’s a great way to bond and create something special together.

Q: If the weather's bad, can we reschedule our glassblowing session?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather is really bad! GlassRoots understands that sometimes nature doesn’t cooperate. Just reach out to them, and they’ll help you find a new time for your glassblowing adventure. They’re pretty flexible!

Q: What should I wear to this glassblowing experience? Is it messy?

A: Definitely wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting a little messy. While they provide protective gear, it’s good to have clothes that can handle some glass dust or spills. Closed-toe shoes are a must too. Just be ready for a fun and creative time!

Just did the blown glass vase experience and it was AMAZING!

I just got back from the Blown Glass Drop Vases experience at GlassRoots in Newark, and wow, what a blast! The artists were super helpful, and I got to pick my colors. I made a bright blue and green vase that’s just stunning. It only took about 30 minutes, but I felt so accomplished. Perfect gift for my best friend’s birthday! Highly recommend it!

Thinking of gifting the glassblowing experience, any thoughts?

I’m planning to gift the Blown Glass Drop Vases experience to my parents for their anniversary. They’ve never done anything like this before! Just hoping they’ll enjoy it. Anyone know if it's good for people without any art skills? I’m a bit nervous they might feel out of their comfort zone.
