Q&A

Q: What types of shoes should I wear for the history tour? Is it a lot of walking?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes! The tour involves quite a bit of walking, especially around Waterfront Park and the Battery. I wore sneakers and it was perfect. Just be ready for some pavement and cobblestones!

Q: Is this tour good for kids? What age group would enjoy it?

A: Yes, it's great for kids! Cooper tailors the discussions, so if you have younger kids, he can make it engaging for them. I'd say ages 10+ would really get into it. But younger ones can tag along just to soak in the sights!

Q: Can I reschedule if something comes up? How flexible is that?

A: Yes, rescheduling is pretty straightforward! Just reach out to Chucktown Walking Tours ahead of time, and they’re usually accommodating. I've rescheduled once due to family stuff and it was no problem at all.

Just did the Charleston history tour, and wow!

I just got back from Cooper's history tour and it was amazing! He starts at Waterfront Park and walks you down to the Battery, sharing stories that really bring Charleston's past to life. Plus, he makes it interactive. We even got into a funny debate about a local legend! Highly recommend for history buffs. It's free too, which is wild!

Thinking about gifting this experience, anyone tried it?

I’m looking at gifting this Charleston history tour for my parents. They love history and I think they’d appreciate Cooper’s style. Is it really as engaging as people say? How did you find the pacing? Any tips?
