Q&A

Q: How long is the tour, and is there enough time to explore on our own?

A: The tour lasts about 4.5 hours in total. You'll have plenty of time during your self-guided garden tour and after the guided house tour to explore the grounds. Just keep in mind that the tram tour is based on availability, so if you're really hoping to do that, ask your guide while you're there!

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids? Are there any age restrictions?

A: Absolutely! Kids are welcome on the tour, and it’s a great educational experience for them. Just keep in mind that the tour involves walking, so make sure they’re prepared for that. The Gullah Theater is especially engaging for younger audiences!

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they still run the tours?

A: Yes, the tours run rain or shine! However, some outdoor activities might be limited if the weather is particularly bad. It's good to check the forecast and dress appropriately, just in case. Bring an umbrella if there's a chance of rain!

Thinking of gifting the Boone Hall Plantation experience - thoughts?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to gift the Boone Hall Plantation tour for my parents. They love history and gardens. The price is great, and I see it includes a tram tour and Gullah Theater! Have any of you been? Is it worth it? I want them to have a memorable day.

Any tips for the Boone Hall tour experience?

I’m planning to go to Boone Hall Plantation soon and can't wait! Any locals or recent visitors have tips? What should I wear or bring? I'm excited about the Gullah Theater part! Is it as fun as it sounds?
