Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to attend Boone Hall Plantation?

A: There’s no specific age limit for kids at Boone Hall Plantation, which is great! Kids of all ages can enjoy the gardens and the tractor tour. Just be aware that some of the exhibits, like the 'Black History In America' display, may require some guidance for younger visitors to fully understand. But overall, it's a family-friendly destination!

Q: Can we reschedule our visit if the weather is bad?

A: Yes! Boone Hall Plantation has a flexible rescheduling policy. If the weather looks bad on your planned day, just call ahead and they’ll help you find another date. Keep in mind, the tractor tours are weather dependent, so it’s worth checking the forecast before you go!

Q: What should we wear for the plantation tour? Is it all outdoor?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes! There's a lot of walking, especially in the gardens and on the tractor tour. Dress for the weather since parts of the experience are outdoors, and if you're there in the summer, a hat and sunscreen are a must. The guided tours inside the plantation home are air-conditioned, so that’s a nice break from the heat!

Considering Boone Hall Plantation for my family visit

I'm planning a family trip to Charleston and thinking about getting the Boone Hall Plantation tickets. I’ve heard the gardens are beautiful, and the Gullah culture presentation sounds fascinating! Has anyone done this? How long do you typically spend there? I want to make sure it’s worth our time.

Just visited Boone Hall Plantation - It was amazing!

Wow, Boone Hall was incredible! The Avenue of Oaks was breathtaking, and the guided home tour was full of history. The Black History In America exhibit was powerful too. We took the tractor tour, and our guide was super knowledgeable. I’d totally recommend this experience. It’s perfect for anyone interested in history or beautiful landscapes!
